Siden MICO projektet startede i 2012 har den danske Børnecancerfonden været dansk hovedbidragsyder og støttet forskningsprojektet 5 gange med i alt godt 4 mill. DKK.
Derudover har en række andre danske, norske og svenske fonde støttet projektet med store beløb, herunder den svenske Barncancerfonden (1,25 mil. SEK), Kræftens Bekæmpelse (1 mill. DKK) og den norske Barnekreftforeningen (390.000 NOK).

Since the onset of the research project in 2012 The Danish Childhood Cancer Foundation (Børnecancerfonden) has been the main Danish contributor and has supported the research project 5 times with a total of 4 million Danish kroner.
In addition, a number of other Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish foundations have donated large sums, including the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund (1,25 million SEK), Danish Cancer Society (1 million DKK), and the Norwegian Barnkreftforeningen (390.000 NOK).
