Foreløbigt har Ilan Sanfi komponeret, forfattet og udviklet disse 8 specialdesignede musikfortællinger, som indgår i MICO–projektet:

Musikfortællingerne er komponeret og produceret med henblik på at give dyb kropslig afspænding og ro, men også samtidigt at stimulere lytterens indre billeddannelse, sanser, fantasi og indre ressourcer. Musikfortællingerne er specialdesignet (komponeret og forfattet) på baggrund af forskningsresultater, viden og klinisk erfaring med musikkens unikke helsefremmende kvaliteter og evne til at regulere nervesystemet og stimulere mange neurale netværk samtidigt, herunder følelser, kognition, hukommelse og fysiologisk.

I musikfortællingerne kombineres elementerne en kort indledende afspændingsøvelse, specialkomponeret beroligende (klassisk) musik, naturlyde og visualiseringsrejse for at aktivere lytterens forestillingsevne (herunder positive erindringer) og give en sanselig og kropsligt forankret “helhedsoplevelse”.
Nogle af musikfortællingerne lavet i både en fuld og en forkortet udgave, så de bedre kan matche deltagernes dagsform, energiniveau m.m.
I 2019 forventes at udkomme en peer–reviewet artikel om det teoretiske grundlag for musikfortællingerne.

Musikken til den første musikfortælling (Eventyret om Samson og sølvfløjten) blev indspillet i 2006 af Randers Kammerorkester (www.randers-kammerorkester.dk), Mette Nielsen (harpe) og Ilan Sanfi (klaver), David Riddell (dirigent) og Claus Byrith (optagelse og redigering).
De øvrige blev indspillet i 2014 af Aarhus Symfoniorkester (https://www.aarhussymfoni.dk), Mette Nielsen (harpe), David Strong (flygel), Søren Kinch Hansen (dirigent), Henrik Winther (optagelse og redigering) og Flemming Bjerg (konsulent vedr. orkestrering af musikken).

Musikfortællingerne forventes at blive udgivet kommercielt på flere sprog i løbet af 2022 efter forskningsprojektets afslutning.

The music imagery narratives are composed and produced with an eye to affording deep bodily relaxation but also to stimulating the listerner´s inner images, senses, imagination, and inner resources.
The music imagery narratives are specially designed (i.e. composed and written) on the basis of the research literature, scientific and clinical knowledge in terms of the unique health–promoting qualities of music and the music´s ability to regulate the nervous system and stimulate many neural networks simultaniously (e.g. emotion, cognition, memory, vital signs).

The music imagery narratives combine the elements of a short initial relaxation exercise, specially composed sedative (classical) music, nature sounds, and imagery in order to activate the listener´s imagination (including positive memories, inner resources) and with an eye to affording an embodied experience.

Some of the music narratives are produced in both a full and a shortened version in order to better match the participant´s form of the day, energy level etc.
In 2019 Ilan Sanfi expects to publish a peer–reviewed article on the theoretical framework of his music imagery narratives.

The music for the first music imagery narrative (The Fairy Tale about Samson and the Silver Flute) was recorded in 2006 by Randers Chamber Orchestra (www.randers-kammerorkester.dk), Mette Nielsen (harp), Ilan Sanfi (piano), David Riddell (conductor), and Claus Byrith (recording and editing).
The others were recorded in 2014 by Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (https://www.aarhussymfoni.dk), Mette Nielsen (harp), David Strong (grand piano), Søren Kinch Hansen (conductor), Henrik Winther (recording and editing), and Flemming Bjerg (consultant regarding orchestration of the music).
